Jungle Haven in Cocles

A new beachfront build tucked into the lush jungle of Cocles in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, Costa Rica. This one-bedroom tropical retreat was designed as the perfect getaway—just minutes from town and the shores of Manzanillo.

I developed the concept for the kitchen and bathroom, infusing both spaces with a sense of ease, connection, and grounded beauty. Inspired by the surrounding environment, the design features organic materials, local craftsmanship, and a soft, earthy palette that reflects the rhythm of the jungle. My role also included sourcing materials and collaborating closely with Costa Rican fabricators to bring the vision to life with intention and authenticity.

Warm Modern Kitchen

This open-concept kitchen blends natural stone and wood to create a warm, bold interior accented by a deep-wine hue. Clean, simple details define the modern design, while the central island anchors the space and connects the kitchen seamlessly to the living and dining areas.

Elegant Textured Ensuite

The ensuite bathroom combines playful textures and refined finishes to create a space that feels both elegant and inviting. Antique-inspired details and soft, warm lighting enhance the atmosphere, blending classic charm with modern comfort.

A thoughtfully designed kitchen layout focused on functionality and flow, featuring critical clearance dimensions for comfortable movement and efficient use. The open-concept floor plan ensures seamless interaction between the kitchen, island, and living areas—balancing practicality with a welcoming atmosphere.
